British Youth Championships - 7th May
Congratulations to Owen Jordan on winning the bronze medal at the British Youth Championships, also well done to Matt Britton who finished 62nd/70 in the U12 foil. He lost the 2nd round DE to the 2nd ranked fencer who finished 3rd!



Radcliffe Sword Club V Chilwell Blades Juniors Friendly
Congratulations to Chilwell Juniors for winning 2 team matches to 1, great fencing! Well done for great sportsmanship and making our guests welcome. Good luck for our return match!



Veterans European Championships, Terni, Italy 2013 - 9th/12th May
Congratulations to Malc Cawton who won the Silver in the Category 4 (Over 70s) Mens Sabre in a nail biting fight with Russia's, Gari Aftandilov finishing 10-9, Gari was a multiple times World & Olympic Champion in his younger days, Malc had already knocked out Italy's Giovanni Abati 10-7 to get to the final on home turf!

Nickola Beck fenced really well in the Category 1 (40-50s) Womens Sabre, to her surprise won 2/5 pool fights, she then knocked out Germany's Katja Wunderlich 10-4 and was then knocked out by Germany's Gesche Reimers, the No.2 seed 10-4, who went on to win bronze. Nickola finished 14th/30.



East Midlands Senior Championships - 19th May
Congratulations to Zoe who won the Silver in the Womens Foil, Owen Wilson who won Gold in the Mens Epee and Nickola Beck who won Gold in the Womens Sabre Photo.
Also congratulations to Ailsa Partridge who finished 5th/10 in a nail biting match losing 15-14! And also Emma Duxon who finished 7th/10, losing 15-13 to a UK top 20 fencer! Both in Womens Epee.



Please can I remind everyone who has been competing to send in their results either to me at my webmaster address or post them on our Facebook page. Please don't be modest! It is really important that we see all results, medals or not, to inspire each other, juniors, seniors or newbie vets! :-)
